What is a well-being coach?
Wellbeing coaches help people improve their overall mental, emotional, and physical well-being. They work with clients to identify areas in their lives that may need attention.
As a well-being coach, I provide guidance and support tailored to adolescents and adults who are in recovery. I provide one-on-one support to help clients create and stick to a recovery plan, develop recovery skills, and navigate uncertainties. I help my clients with a variety of recovery-related issues, including, but not limited to:
Relapse Prevention: I provide in-the-moment support whenever needed. With my experience and support, my clients are able to better manage situations that might lead to relapse.
Support and Guidance: I offer ongoing support and guidance during transitions back to daily life, helping to navigate triggers and challenges.
Setting goals: I provide support in setting recovery goals and developing action plans.
Accountability: I help my clients stay accountable to their goals and their commitment to sobriety.
Discovering and building skills: I assist in the development of coping strategies, life skills to handle stress, and tools for recovery maintenance, to prevent relapse and encourage continued healing and transformation.
Structured Transition: I provide support in creating a structured plan for reintegration into regular life, which can ease the transition and improve chances of long-term recovery.
Emotional support: I provide a safe space to listen and respond to emotional concerns.
Identifying obstacles: I provide support in identifying what might be barriers to achieving goals.
I can also help the families of those struggling with addiction. I can support you while you learn how to better support your loved one, and provide you with education, tools, and resources.
*It is important to remember that as a sober coach, I do not replace anyone else on a healthcare team such as a therapist, psychiatrist, or medical doctor. The service I provide is designed to be a supplemental tool, non-clinical support, and a compliment to an existing team of professionals caring for my clients.
